Joining a charity partner for a major marathon can be intimidating if you have never run before. Some marathons only have entries not based on qualification with a lottery system and then after the race registrations close your only choice to enter is through an approved charity partner.

Nonprofits who want to fundraise for their missions with major marathons compete annually to be selected as a charity partner.
