Semper K9 is proud to announce the acceptance of Magic into our Service Dogs for Veterans Program. Magic is a yellow lab donated by Amy & Steve Woods. At Semper K9, every service dog’s name carries deep meaning, often reflecting a story of resilience, honor, or inspiration. One of our newest service dogs in training, Magic, is no exception. His name was thoughtfully chosen by his sponsor, BAE Systems, Inc., and reflects two powerful ideas—innovation and transformation.

At FAST Labs, the Research and Development arm of BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems Sector, the work being done is often described as magic. Their cutting-edge technology pushes the boundaries of physics and time, delivering innovative solutions that protect and empower the warfighters who depend on them. Just as their advancements provide safety and security for those who serve, service dogs like Magic are trained to provide unwavering support to veterans when they return home.

But the name Magic holds an even deeper significance. BAE Systems, Inc. has heard countless stories about service dogs’ profound impact on veterans and their families. These dogs don’t just provide assistance; they restore confidence, independence, and hope. Their ability to help veterans move forward in life after their sacrifices is nothing short of magical.

By naming this future service dog Magic, BAE Systems, Inc. honors both the transformative work they do in support of our nation’s military and the life-changing bond between a veteran and their service dog. Thanks to their generous sponsorship, Magic is now on his journey to becoming a loyal service dog for a disabled American veteran.
