Concert Features Performances by Walsh and the Zac Brown Band, Gary Clark Jr and Keith Urban, September 20, 2017 at Eagle Bank Arena in Fairfax VA

September 18, 2017 (Washington, DC)  In two days Joe Walsh will kick off his new 501C Foundation VetsAid, with the first annual concert to support veterans and their families, featuring Joe and his friends Zac Brown Band, Gary Clark Jr and Keith Urban.  Today Walsh announces Snowball Express (snowballexpress.org) as a charity partner and the following additional regional and smaller organizations that will benefit from this year’s September 20 concert: Equinox Ranch in North Carolina (equinoxranch.org), Right Turn for Yuma Vets in Arizona (rightturnyumavets.com), Semper K9 Assistance Dogs in Virgina (semperk9.org), Project Horse, Inc. in Virgina (projecthorse.org) Center for American Military Music Opportunities in Virginia (CAMMO) (cammomusic.org), Code Platoon in Illinois (codeplatoon.org), Work Vessels for Vets, Inc. in Connecticut (workvesselsforvets.org), Arkansas Run for the Fallen in Arkansas (arkansasrunforthefallen.org) and Suiting Warriors in Delaware and Texas (suitingwarriors.org).

“I am particularly excited to announce that these regional charities will benefit from VetsAid,” Walsh explained. “In my touring I have come across Veterans all over this country and have seen these smaller organizations, often run by Vets, working in their communities doing a lot of good. One of the main reasons I am launching VetsAid is to not only reward the well-established charity groups doing good works in the field but also to recognize and support these modest ones who are in the trenches and for whom a little money can go a long way!”

These charities announced today are in addition to the first round of recipients announced August 23 which included: Operation Mend, Hire Heroes USA, Warrior Canine Connection, TAPS, Semper Fi Fund, Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, Stop Soldier Suicide and Swords to Plowshares.

The September 20th show, to benefit VetsAid, an IRS-recognized national non-profit 501(c)(3), will be held at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia. The concert will feature full set performances by Walsh, the Zac Brown Band, Gary Clark Jr., and Keith Urban. Tickets are on sale now.
